SAARF LSM Training - 2010

LSM TRAINING

SAARF will be conducting the Living Standards Measure training in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban (see dates below).

The content of the workshop will cover the following:

  • History / Development of LSM
  • Early LSM
  • 1993 /1995 /2000 LSM
  • New SAARF LSM and LSM Extensions
  • SAARF Segmentation Tools (SAARF MGMs, SAARF Lifestyles, SAARF Lifestages and SAARF Attitude Groups)

Attendees will be informed of the stimuli/background that led to the thrust to develop the LSM and its evolution over the years.  This will also include coverage of the updates which happened from time to time in the variables and weights as well as the motivation behind the increase in the number of variables over time.

Details about the descriptors of each LSM group and how they changed since the introduction of the LSMs in 2001 will also be given.

Finally, an overview of SAARFs other segmentation tools will be covered.

The duration will be approximately three hours and delegates are requested to bring a calculator with them, as we will also take them through a do it yourself exercise to determine their own LSM group.

All attendees will receive a SAARF Segmentation CD (free of charge).

SAARF TRAINING - 2010

The SAARF training will cover the introduction to SAARF and all SAARF research (AMPS, RAMS and TAMS).  The SAARF Introductory Training Seminars are not only directed at new users of the SAARF-series of products, but also at those who feel that they would benefit from a refresher.
 
PLEASE NOTE: The training does not teach you how to do planning and is also not a practical workshop.

The seminars are presented in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. However, where there is a demand for the seminars in other centres, such seminars can be arranged on request. Not more than 20 persons will be enrolled for each seminar to allow for more interactive communication. Users who are interested are therefore requested to book early. If the demand justifies it, additional seminars will be arranged.
 
The training will consist of the following:
