The Team
TheMarketingSite.com was founded in 1998 by Winnifred Knight and Luisa Mazinter.

Winnifred and Luisa, who between them have over 50 years experience in most of the marketing disciplines, also own CUBE [ON THE SQUARE], a Marketing and Business Solutions consultancy, specialising in Marketing Direct, covering integrated, multichannel strategies which combine direct and digital marketing with brand positioning.
They are well respected speakers and industry trainers and as consultants have over the years, developed and implemented many successful integrated and interactive strategies, websites and campaigns for a large number of companies across most of the vertical industries.
They are committed to sharing their combined knowledge and expertise through their consultancy, their training and their marketing portal – theMarketingSite.com.

TheMarketingSite.com is an online marketing and communications knowledge hub. It covers a wide range of business and marketing topics including basic principles, the latest industry news and trends, research and statistics, case studies, opinion pieces, and thought leadership articles.
More than this, it’s an interactive community of users that includes everyone from everyday marketing and communications practitioners to subject matter experts.
Our commitment is to build and retain a community of users, maintain and update content, and continually source added value benefits for our users. Our intention is to engage our users in the co-creation of this site, and we encourage you to suggest relevant new directions and offerings. This is an organic project that will continue to adapt with the changing demands of the industry.
It’s about sharing knowledge and experiences, giving each other advice and guidance, and opening doors to new ideas and technology, so that we can stimulate not only one another, but the industry as a whole.
The primary objectives of theMarketingSite are to:
- Inform, provide knowledge, share experiences and assist businesses on all forms of marketing and business communications and to encourage an integrated and measureable approach to business and marketing
- Create awareness for various suppliers that contribute towards the industry, by providing exposure for sound and cost effective products and services
- Add additional value by bringing ideas, offers, incentives, competitions, etc. to companies and their customers
- Assist with Research projects, through supporting industry initiatives and hosting regular surveys both on the marketing portal
- Provide information about and access to a range of accredited training and education programs
- Assist with Recruitment, Career Guidance, and Mentoring Programs for a range of people, from students and newcomers through to advanced and specialist practitioners as well as academics, and
- Supply this information free of charge to the industry
Strategic alliance and joint venture relationships have been negotiated with various companies and associations, local and internationally, to provide products and services that meet the needs of our portal's user base.

The Knowledge Centre
TheMarketingSite's Knowledge Centre is recognised as the largest independently owned marketing library in southern Africa. Many local and international Associations, Universities, Colleges and Educational Institutions use it to supply their members and students with information.
Inside the Knowledge Centre you’ll find information categorised by topic. There’s content relevant to all aspects of the marketing industry – no matter what your marketing activities or interests are there’s bound to be something that you’ll find useful or want to contribute to.
We have over the many years collected a huge amount of valuable information in the form of articles, case studies, research and survey findings, reports and much more.
