Time
We understand your work pressures and have therefore ensured that we put together a flexible, albeit structured program that will accommodate your study requirements.

Discussions and Evaluation
There are no examination papers written for this program. However, each topic will carry a discussion work group. On these you will be assessed as well as your willingness to participate and add value to these class discussions.

Our Mission
Winnifred Knight and Luisa Mazinter have over 50 years experience in the marketing direct industry – from the beginnings of direct mail to the existing and exciting digital landscape – they are well known and respected for sharing their knowledge through their marketing portal – www.themarketingsite.com, training programs and their marketing consultancy business CUBE [ON THE SQUARE] Pty Limited.

Their mission for education is to sharpen skills, increase competency and keep all communication professionals knowledgeable on the latest information and best practices. They have a proven track record for preparing employees to handle their next project, their next challenge and they are committed to keeping the industry up-to-date in an ever evolving environment.

Winnifred Knight
Winnifred is a director of TheMarketingSite.com and CUBE [ON THE SQUARE] a marketing consultancy specialising in Direct, Data and Digital Interactive Marketing and has been in this industry for over 40 years. She has lectured for many years on a wide variety of topics and runs marketing and business management workshops for companies and individuals. Her workshops are geared towards practical skills-based learning for the younger people coming into the industry, for small business owners and entrepreneurs and for middle to upper management in organisations and professionals.

Winnifred developed TheMarketingSite.com with her partner Luisa Mazinter to give businesses access to information and guidance on marketing, communications, advertising and sales. The marketing portal offers a wide range of customisable and comprehensive marketing information and business tools. It helps marketers plan their communication initiatives, streamline and improve the quality of their marketing efforts while supporting personal career growth and development.

She also publishes DirectTalk, reaching over 9,000 local and international key business decision makers weekly. DirectTalk is dedicated to improving standards and opening doors to new ideas and technology in the marketing, sales, advertising, direct and Internet marketing disciplines. Its objectives are to inform, provide knowledge, share experiences, and give advice and guidance.

Over her many years in the industry, Winnifred has built up one of the largest independently owned direct marketing libraries in southern Africa. Many international associations have established a relationship with her to supply their users with information. In addition, the library is used as a reference library for most of South Africa’s universities, colleges and educational Institutions.

She travels several times a year overseas to different countries as a speaker and visitor at conferences and seminars and is also a yearly visitor and friend to the DMA US head office in New York, where they value her input on international matters.

Winnifred was invited to join the International Advisory Board of the US DMA for her extended reputation, professionalism and experience in the industry, and in this capacity is ‘spreading the gospel of Marketing Direct’ to over 200 countries.

Luisa Mazinter
Luisa is the CEO of CUBE [ON THE SQUARE] (Pty) Ltd and TheMarketingSite (Pty) Ltd.

CUBE [ON THE SQUARE] a Strategic Marketing and eBusiness Consultancy, was founded in 1998. The company specialises in marketing and eBusiness strategy development, Web and Mobile marketing development projects and data-driven interactive marketing campaigns. CUBE [ON THE SQUARE] has consulted, developed interactive websites and implemented multi-channel campaigns for many top companies in South Africa.

Luisa has developed and presents accredited programmes on eBusiness, eMarketing and Mobile Marketing through the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and the University of Johannesburg.  She also runs tailored in-house training courses and workshops for companies and is regularly invited as a guest lecturer by various universities, colleges and industry associations.

Luisa completed her MBA at the Gordon Institute of Business Science in 2005. The title of her research thesis was “Measuring the Economic Value that Marketing Contributes to an Organisation”.

Luisa travels annually to the USA and UK to attend international conferences and exhibitions.
